I normally donât leave negative reviews, but I feel this is important to share so that other families know what they may be getting into.
Close friends of mine lived at Deer Run Apartments for several years, and I personally witnessed many of the issues they dealt with. Communication with management was consistently frustrating, and there were situations where my friends felt they were treated unfairly and discriminated against.
The most concerning issue, however, was recurring mold in their apartment. Every fall and winter, the mold would come back. They repeatedly brought the problem to managementâs attention, but from what I witnessed and what they experienced, the response did not adequately address the underlying problem. At times, the walls were simply sprayed or treated, only for the mold to return again.
This was especially upsetting because my friends could not afford to simply move somewhere else. They were a family trying to make a life for themselves, and they deserved to have their concerns taken seriously and to live in a healthy home.
I understand that every resident may have a different experience, but after watching what this family went through year after year, I cannot recommend Deer Run Apartments. If you are considering living here, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about moisture and mold issues, maintenance procedures, and how resident complaints are handled before signing a lease.
